Nominee Eligibility Information & Application

Here you will find information about all things related to the nominee eligibility.

Eligibility requirements are as follows:

1. You must understand and agree that carriers are property of Close 2 You (C2Y) and they are lent according to need as determined by our nomination process. All carriers remain with the recipient for a maximum of 1 year. After the year has expired, if a recipient continues to have need for a carrier, a new application must be submitted. Close 2 You also reserves the right to follow up with recipients and carriers periodically.

2. You must currently not own or be in possession of a carrier.

3. You must be unable to afford the carrier. If you can demonstrate that purchasing a carrier would constitute a substantial financial burden we will consider your application.

4. The Admin Team works hard to determine each nominee’s eligibility. We need the nominee’s full cooperation in order to do our job.

5. A contract will be emailed to all recipients and it must be signed and returned to Close 2 You, prior to the carrier being shipped.

6. Recipients may be asked for proof of use. When asked, recipients will send two (2) updated photos to Close 2 You. Photo #1, the recipient must wear the child and hold the current date newspaper or dated piece of paper. Photo #2 will be of the carrier showing the C2Y/T4W monogrammed logo with dated piece of paper.

7. All carriers are to be shipped back to the organization. Please email C2Yfamilies@gmail.com to arrange to return your carrier.

8. Nominees must have not received a carrier of any kind from Close 2 You within the last year. If a special situation arises, please email C2Y to discuss the possibility of an exemption.

9. All nominees must join the Facebook group for recipients and remain in the group, with an active profile, while loaning a carrier from C2Y.

10. Nominees must have a personal, active Facebook account, for more than 6 months prior to applying. This is necessary for the admin team to determine the suitability of the nominee. This account is to remain open and active for the entire length of the loan. Should a nominee need to deactivate their Facebook account for any reason, they must notify us as immediately.

11. Blocking an admin is grounds for disqualification.

12. Nominees must be members of Close 2 You at the moment of application and must remain member of Close 2 You while the carrier is in their possession.

Any person can nominate anyone that meets the above criteria, and any person can nominate themselves as long as they also meet the criteria.

Nominations arrive to Close 2 You daily. They are processed in the order received.

The monthly polls will consist of a maximum of 20 nominees.
